Martine Micaleff is a perfumer from Grasse, world capital of perfume. This luxury brand boasts beautiful handmade flasks. Micaleff’s advent calendar is an original way to try several fragances and choose yours for 2017. It includes 23 samples of 5ml of the M.Micallef’s house perfumes. Behind the 24th door, hides the best seller Ananda (30ml).
Lighting a different scented candle every day, what a romantic and homy way to wait for Christmas with Durance. I enjoy very much the orange-cinnamon fragance at this time of the year.
This young family-run company is based in Drome Provencale and all the products are inspired in the Provence landscape and fragances.
- €39.99 (360 g. Your candle holder inside)
The sweetest one
Though beauty made the fame of advent calendars for grown ups, let’s not forget that it is originally a sweet item. And Provence does have a historic knowledge in special treats.
The calisson, made of almond and candied fruit is the speciality of Aix-en-Provence. Le Roy René sells a nice advent calendar including different flavoured calissons and other sweet surprises.
- €12.90 (160 g.)
Some local confectioners in Nice haven’t yet issued their advent calendars, such as Auer, famous for their candied fruits.
Other famous brands from Provence such as le Couvent des Minimes are out of stock online (€39.90 – 1st edition) but you can still find the precious advent calendar in their selling points, that you can locate on their website or for example at Marrionaud.fr.
